Is there any difference or are they the same thing? has anybody ever managed to contact theirs as people say you can. I have been told i have a very tall protector guide and a medicine man i have also been told i have a pink/purple aura and a very tall aura next to me and then a small one the other side of me? i find it all very interesting.

A spirit guide does just that, guides you in your life.
A Guardian Angel ---------You know what, I realize that I do not know the difference between the two. I was going to say a Guardian Angel, looks after you with regard to danger etc . but that is what I believe a Spirit Guide does also.
So - I will wait for other answers to guide me~
Aura's usually change with colour according to your emotions and your moods.
I have not heard of a persons aura having another one next to it, but I find it very interesting. I keep an open mind on everything, so nothing in your question puzzled me or made me think you didn't know what you were talking about.
Shirley McLain has written a couple of books re Chakra's and Aura's that I found very intresting.
I know when my youngest daughter went to high school she came home one day very upset. Every corridor she walked into had the kids surrounded by red. Everybody had red aura's. The only interpretation I could come up with was that it was exam time and everybody was stressed.
Interesting though.
I find some of the answers so sad. Stay away from devils, demons etc. I am so glad I do not live with fear like this in my life. I live by what Jesus taught us, no fear, no judgement, no anger, etc. etc. A much happier and peaceful way to live.

Spirits guides travel from the same dimension as angels why at times they are confused with angels, why they are compassionate and gentle, actually they are above the angels in heaven, and so will you when you reach heaven. We all have more than one spirit guide, I met one of my guides, her name is Erica, I have seen other spirits at that time, but they didn't communicate like she has, she helped me when I was in serious need. They come to influence us to do the right things, encourage us, guide us, even protect and comfort us.

According to some psychics, Spirit Guides are the ones telling you right from wrong and always with you, to the right side. Your Guardian Angel is the one that saves you from certain things (accidents, falls, etc..) Everyone has 5-6 angels and only 1 spirit guide. Best wishes!

Yes ,you can contact them.You just have to talk to them and the response you will get is sometimes like a voice you hear in your head.The best way to bring a spirit nearer to you is to place a lit candle in front of a picture of the person if you know who they are.We are merely spirits in a flesh body and once our flesh dies our spirits live on.Our spirits are what makes our personalities and we are in fact energies that are housed in bodies.Some people are very sensitive to spirits,some are not.And a guardian angel and spirit guide are pretty much the same thing.Either way,they are both spirits that are attached to you.

Being able to tell is only limited by the physical endowments the biological body - your spiritual perceptions and receptivity is unique to you and how well you can feel, sense, and know these presences is partially dependent on that. Other factors depend on your level of understanding and ability to digest the information.

A Spirit guide is someone who has passed away, or was in human form at one time and is with you to guide you.
An Angel is a divine source who has chosen to help you through your life!

Sylvia Browne has distinguised spirit guides and angels in that spirit guides are there for you to guide you and they do talk. Angles don't speak - she says. Spirit guides are your constant companions and with you from the moment of birth until you pass over. Hope that helps you sounds like you have some awesome energy there. According to Kabbalah (Jewish Mysticism), Guardian Angels are angelic beings that help people from time to time. Spirit Guides are usually referenced in Shamanic teachings. These could be angelic, but they could be non-angel spirits.

There are two kinds of angels: holy angels and devils. I would be reluctant to trust any being claiming to be a "spirit guide," "highly evolved extraterrestrial," "Ascended Master," or even "guardian angel." If any angel tries to lead you away from Jesus Christ, he must be a devil. Clear enough?

i think a spirit guide knows your future and warns u of what lies ahead and a guardian angel is with u as u live day by day x
