By realizing that hell is just a figurative state of being where an individual has chosen to believe and become wholly soul-identified with all that is false, non-existent and untrue, every snowball will have its time to exist. The snowball survives in the reality of the physical universe where the temperature enables it. For a snowball, the desert is its hell.

Well, it depends where in Hell you send it. In the ninth circle, Satan's constant flapping keeps the air cold enough for ice. The sixth circle is full of flaming tombs, seventh is one third a river of boiling blood, one third burning sands. Three of the ten bolgie in the eight circle involve some sort of hot punishment, whether flames of boiling pitch. Just keep the thing in a cooler until you get to the bottom and it should last for eternity.
