There is a ton of stuff on football and NASCAR in the bible, but these teachings are mostly hidden in veiled references that are hard to see without going back to the original greek, hebrew and aramaic source documents.

God is particularly fond of the Dallas Cowboys (1 kings 5-22), which makes it hard to understand the Patriots success this year.

Races.

1 Cor 9:24-27
Do you not know that the runners in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may attain it. Moreover, every man taking part in a contest exercises self-control in all things. Now they, of course, do it that they may get a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible one. Therefore, the way I am running is not uncertainly; the way I am directing my blows is so as not to be striking the air; but I pummel my body and lead it as a slave, that, after I have preached to others, I myself should not become disapproved somehow.

Yes, cricket.

Peter stood up and was bold.

The fishermen toiled all night in the deep and caught nothing.

And there were those 'who toil not, neither do they spin.'
