I have a question about sun damage in the eyes?

If a person stared into the sun and permanently damages his/hers eyes would his eyes get worse over the years or will he see improvment over the years or will the damages just stay the same ????? please answer

Staring at the sun results in a burn and permanent scar on the retina. It won't get worse or better with time.
