I'm not asking for the rationale. Just tell me how the belief 4 billion + humans deserve to burn for eternity simply for ther beliefs is not inspired by hate.

To those of you who believe Gandhi is going to hell, I would like to know what you've done with your lives other than pay lip service to Jesus? Have you fought so that others would not be persecuted? So that others would have freedom? For the independence of a country? I don't recall Jesus sitting around in an easy chair talking about how he was going to serve others, he got up and did it. Tax collectors, prostitutes, every form of 'subhuman' you can think of and why would this be? Was he really looking to save them or was he trying to teach a greater lessen? That those of you who raise yourselves up with false pride are no greater than those who wear their flaws on their sleeves. Just because you believe that Jesus has saved you from you comfy arm chair does not make it so. Gandhi was a better Christian that most Christians I know. Gandhi said " I like your Christ but I don't care for your Christians" and why did he say this?
Because many Christians and other peoples of faith do NOTHING that Jesus would have done. NOTHING. You tell me how allowing others to suffer while you say you're saved equals a free pass to heaven? GARBAGE! You care more about yourselves than you do about Jesus and who Jesus was and what he did. You make a mockery of two selfless men. Shame on you. Hell is in your soul right now and I don't believe in hell. We create it. I don't believe all Christians are like this but for those who just sit around and say 'he wasn't saved', he is safer than you think.

It is not the job of some religionist to determine the eternal fate of one's 'brothers and sisters' in the human race ~ that is between them and the Ancients of Days.

The concept of a literal, actual hell, is a misinterpretation and sorely incorrect concept to attribute to the God of the origins of all things and beings, who is Love and whose patience, mercy and forgiveness knows no bounds. Our LOVING heavenly Father never did such a thing and the concept is wholly humanly concocted by the ancient peoples of our world. Human beings all too often in the day and age of enlightenment and quickening forget that God is ultimate and superior and absolutely perfect in all his ways, which are so not the ways of human beings and the ways of this world. This world has a lot of thinking to do as concerns the just and judgments of the administrators of the universe.

There is no way a God-knowing individual would continue in the belief that God would have even have ever entertained such a notion as hell.

While some people can and do create their own figurative 'hell' by their nefarious choices, these are the ones who stand in danger of becoming as they never were in the afterlife, but this is not up to you and me to judge. All things true, good, and beautiful are eternal spiritual realities that never pass away. Literal Hell is certainly not a spiritual reality.

Eternal fate decisions of others is not our job. Only our own eternal fate is in our own hands. To become more real, spiritually is what is required of every soul.

So, I'm explaining how LOVE, which is not God, but God who IS love, does NOT do "hell". That's only human.

ok to hell with fancy stuff if Gandhi has to go to hell for freeing India and not accepting somebody elses beliefe system. I am men god damn me too, cause i would rather burn and be with cool bands, Gandhi, and Budda. Then be hitler's butt buddie up in heaven. That is for those who think he is going to hell
My thoughts are all religons and non-religons lead to salvation if you live your life doing as much good to your plot of the world as you can.

Because ppl are sheep. I am a Christian but I hate that ppl are so arrogant as to believe they understand all God's truths because and only because it was written in the Bible. They in reality have no clue all of the various ways an omnipotent God can reach ppl - ALL PEOPLE- not just the ones raised in a specific culture. Ghandi did amazing things and risked his life and that is God. That IS exactly Jesus. That is more than what many people who swing their Bible around would every do.

I don't know him personally therefore to make any assumption on my part that he is going to Hell would be completely absurd to say the least so I definitely don't believe that. I let God be God and make those decisions based on His righteous judgment. Now if a person DOES believe that (which is absurd), they may be ignorant, but how is that a "hateful belief?" An ignorant belief, a judgmental belief, or foolish belief yes, but hateful? Come on!

Gandhi is most certainly NOT going to hell. He lived his life doing good, loving his fellow man and following his conscience. He certainly has a place in heaven beside his creator and now knows the truths he did not know when he walked upon the earth.

That is the sickest thing I've ever heard.

I'm sure no one really, truly believes such a thing.

Here we go with people wanting to feel "special" again. Those who answer that he will go to hell simply are doing so for their own "salvation".

If avoiding hell were as easy as "accepting Jesus", then hell would be empty.

But anyone with half a brain knows that someone who lives their entire life doing good for humanity has a better chance of going to this non-existent "heaven" than someone who simply believes in the false-idea of Jesus being the "Son of God".

It's easier for believers to "accept Jesus" than it is for them to live their lives like him, so naturally those who are going to "hell" themselves will answer that Gandhi is going as well.

Very, very sad.

This is a learned form of mental illness.

I think Gandhi's comments about Jesus pretty well explain what you are talking about.

He said I see the teachings of Jesus as perhaps the perfect path. Too bad no one practices it.
