I've known this guy for about 2 years now. We talk on the bus almost everyday, and on msn. I have just started to like him, and almost everybody says that we would be the perfect couple.This might sound really, really weird but one day i was talking to him on msn and out of no where said :I LOVE YOU. then he said he was joking, and that we are very close friends. I was extremly confused and I don't know why he said that.Do you think he likes me?

He also is saying how nice i am and how he will never be as nice as me. And we always have something to talk about.

He always makes a lot of eye contact and does not seem to be nervous around me at all, and when ever I see him he says "hey!"

Saying "I LOVE YOU" (who really means it) is really a huge thing for anyone to say to another person, and the best person to answer ur question is really urself....
and ask urself this:
when you talk with him, do u feel anything from him? I mean does he flirt with u or gives any indication that he is attracted to u, or something?!
If ur answer is yes, then i guess he really likes u but doesn't want to risk losing u as a friend, if ever u don't feel the same.
If u really like him as u say u do, u should ask him outright if he means it and tell him how u feel too. It's much better to know the answer right away than to be left in the dark.
The best things could come from being truthful to each another.

If he said it and then panicd there are only two real options, either he does love you and got embarrassed when you didn't return it immediately, or he typed it in the wrong window. Why don't you just ask him. And make sure he knows that if it wasn't an accident and you were the target of it that you'd love to go out with him some time.

Speaking as a man, we're very simple creatures. I think women give us too much credit for the ability to be subtle in relationship-related matters, to be honest!
We're quite straightforward - the best way to find out is just to gently ask him, especially if you like him. He'll appreciate your honesty and the fact that you don't have him jumping through hoops. Just ask him out. It's easier in the long run than wondering.
I suppose the other option is if you have a mutual friend you trust, you could have a quiet word with them and ask them to find out.

That just may it, he likes you as a friend. If you really like him and have these feelings, you need to talk to him. Since your friends maybe you could ask him who likes more than a friend. (just a suggestion) My experience when dating friends has not been good. Yea at first it is going okay but after a while it just feels weird, like when you kiss and so forth. I dated a real good friend from high school and after awhile it felt like I was dating my brother, so I had to end the relationship. Hope this helps a little. Good luck.

Yes, he likes you. Why don't you help the poor guy out and ask him out on a date. Offer to meet him sometime at the movies or a restaurant. In fact, you could even take the bus there together sometime - very convenient.

He could have been testing to see what you would have said back, or he could have been just playing around. Do you guys ever hang out just the two of you? If you were to hang out more you could see if he starts to make little moves to be near you and such. And if you like him, you could ask him out! haha. You never know until you ask, and the worst he can say is no, and then it could be your turn to just say you're kidding!

Well, no one can really ever tell if someone likes another person. There was one time i could and it was cuz the boy got all excited one day when my friend came in late. he walked into the classroom and said "RYANN"S HERE!" and he was very excited. and he always seemed different around her. see how he acts around other friends of his who are girls and if he seems more sweet and stuff around you then he likes you. hope this helps ^_^

yes i think he does. i think he said "i love you" then thought better of the idea and tryed to back track because he wouldnt know how you would react. How did you react what did you say? I would maybe make a nice gesture back to tell him that you feel the same way. good luck

Seems like he does. But guys actually say I love You a lot (as friends), or maybe thats just me...but I mean, he could love you as a friend, or maybe more. You should ask him if he likes anyone and take it from there ;)

Sounds like he does. He probably said that he was joking because he was afraid he might have made a fool of himself. I think he really has feelings for you!
