Oh I love it, 90% of people say they would give to the homeless or poor but in reality they won't. More money does not make you more generous. I hate it when people assume that being rich would all of a suddon change their either lazy or selfish nature. I am only saying this because I get dozens of emails a day from YA people wanting to help the children I work with by sending supplies or money for diapers. Truly only about 1 in a hundred actully follow through with their promises. It makes them feel better to say those things but in reality they would rather go shopping. Ok off my soapbox. I would finish funding the outreach center here in Romania that is geared towards keeping familes intact. Preventing the abandonment and abuse that these children suffer at the hands of the hospital and orphanage workers.

I would make sure that the poor people in my country were taken care of be for I sent the money to a different country. I believe that the money should stay local and help out people close to home. I think if you were to open your eyes you could find lots of useful things to do with money...help the schools, provide new books for a library, pay to have a park refurbished for the local children, feed the needy in your city or a near by on if you are in a small town. Give it to the community!!

OK, with unlimited money I would buy or give-
After becoming the Supreme Ruler of the World & installing a puppet dictatorship to deal with all the day to day mundane stuff & the greatest military of all time, greater than the Storm troopers from star wars, to crush any possible dissent. (of course there would probably be none since the world would love me) I would create a foundation to help the poor all over the world, wipe out disease, promote peace & love, and probably go surfing in the Polynesian Islands.

Giving money to hospitals? What for, they are a money making business that takes money out of people pockets!
I would give much of it away to food banks and feed people. I would start schools that focus on inner city kids and kids in rural areas--two places where educational facilities are not the highest quality.
I would also start giving free psychological counseling to all who need it, instead of putting people on meds and creating zombies when all they needed was to talk to someone.
Then I would create an institution for relationships. This would be a free place for people to come for information on how to build good relationships; family, friends, etc. It would offer relationship counseling before people have children or get married. It would help kids to deal with bullies in school. Basically, any thing dealing with communicating better to have better relationships.
And I would save some to buy myself houses in places that I love and take a much needed relaxing vacation.

Ok, I'd probably get murdered for this, but
1 I would live very well, nice house, cars and food.
2 I would try to end some of the corruption we see in this world, I would throw some spanners into the works of some rich peoples organizations.
3 I would give a fare bit of money to certain charities
4 I would hire the best QC's for people being treated unfarely.

I have worked out how I would spend my Lottery Win, if it was a good en. I would be financing a new Ward in Great Ormand Street, a couple of life boats, several animal homes, to become self funding eventually. I could spend the rest of my life putting different peoples lives right, what fun I would have. I mean how much money does one person need?
Investing a great part of it, would keep it topped up for life!
What a lovely dream eh....Lets hope one of us wins it one day soon.....Happy New Year x.

I would buy and donate a piece of equipment to my local hospital and donate money to others such as GOSH. I would then donate money to the British Red Cross who are still involved in helping those areas devastated by the Indian Ocean Earthquake/Tsunami. Then donate to animal charities, and buy equipment for the school my cousin's kids go to, then buy my parents and brother a new house so they don'y have to put up with their VERY VERY noisy neighbours and pay off all their debts.

Every answer on here sounds like a pageant answer. I'd like to end world hunger and have peace! Get a life people. If you really had that much money you would turn into that greedy person you say you will never be and probably never give any money to a charity.

I'd have to think and pray carefully,
but one thing I'd do is to give a large chunk
of money to this ministry I know-of
that provides Bibles to people who have
no access to one. For example,
in places such as China and North Korea
where practicing Christianity can get you
and your family thrown into prison camps.
(Who do you think all that cheaply-made stuff from China comes-from?)
As a consequence,
Christians must meet in secret
and Bibles are a precious commodity
that are hard to come-by.
They will oftentimes tear pages out of one Bible
that is shared with the whole Church.
Then members will memorize entire pages
of Scripture.
Because this may be the only access to the
Scriptures they have for a long-time,
especially if they get thrown into prison camp
for many years.
Under this persecution,
these Christians oftentimes become very strong
in their faith and maturity.

I would first, get myself out of debt. Then, I would buy my girlfriend and I a little house in Canada and open a business. I would give some money to my mom and grandparents. My mom is always remodeling her house because she doesn't like it, so I'd give her money to move. My grandma has to literally crawl up and down her steps, so I'd give her enough money to buy a ranch. I'd buy my dad the guitar he has always wanted. Then, I would start donating to organizations. Save darfur. The children's miracle network. The aids research foundation. I can't lie, though. I would give a hefty amount to the arts programs.
