The word "Christian" came after Jesus had died. It is to distinguish those who follow after him and not while he was alive. While he was on earth he had followers, believers, or Saints. He never said call in the Christian children so that I may bless them. He invited all to "Come unto Christ."
To anyone who says "if Christ existed" I say he did, he does still and we need to find him and get to know him.
There was a girl who quoted John in saying that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. This is true but there is more to the Gospel Of Jesus Christ than just believing in God or in Christ. One must do all that he/she can to gain the knowledge that they need to return and live with God.
the truth has been restored.

Jesus was a Jew who believed that the other Jews had strayed off the correct path and so thus he called for a reform...Christianity.
However, Christianity did not exist during his time, he simply believed it as the correct Judaism.

In an anachronistic sort of way, yes. Jesus was the Christ. He was THE Christ-one, whereas all who follow him are Christ's ones, or Christians. So this Jewish messiah fulfilled all that the messiah (Christ) was to fulfill, and now everyone, Jew and non-Jew alike become Christians if they receive and accept him. He doesn't follow himself, but he is the model for all who follow him, and his designation lends the name to the religion that is his.

Jesus was a Jew, but his life on earth and his example was Christianity. Notice how the first 6 letters are Christ. The ceremonies in the Mormon temples and what happens in the Jewish temples are very much alike.
In the Mormon temple the ceremonies are very similar to the ancient Jewish temple ceremonies and rites.

No. Jesus was a Jew. He was a Jewish Rabbi, the Jewish Messiah, and king of the Jews.
Christians are followers of Christ guided by the Holy Spirit.
Answer: There are four accounts of Jesus life, death and resurrection. None of the claim that Jesus was a follower of himself.
