My mom kept kids for a while in our playroom.
Now that she doesn't anymore I want to re-decorate the room. Any suggestions?

First I'd suggest that you figure out a scheme, may be of your favorite thing(s) or what you're into! Figure out what color or colors you like. After you've done that the rest should be really easy!

Eliminate all baby and kids equipment. Look at the furniture you have, rearrange and maybe get a bright new sofa throw to go with what you have and make new (or buy) pillows.
Strip all the pictures from the wall and rehang in new places when you decide on the new arrangement.
