Remove the stock and foregrip before painting. The best way to paint them is to use a string and hang the parts from the ceiling. That way you can get to all sides of each part. Any spray paint should work. For the most uniform finish always keep the can moving when spraying. Start the can moving before pushing the trigger. Most spray paints apply very thin coats. It will probably take several coats to get good coverage. Let each coat dry before applying the next coat. Thinner coats mean fewer drips. If the stock is wood you should sand it first with 220 grit sandpaper. Wipe it with paint thinner before painting. If it is plastic no sanding is necessary but it should still be wiped with thinner.

Sure. I prefer Krylon over Rustoleum. When I was a sign maker, we'd make two-tone decals by painting over colored vinyl with spray paint. Like Yellow vinyl graduating to orange and maybe red for flames. Krylon sticks to vinyl. Rustoleum doesn't. May be the same with plastic stocks. Remove them or mask them.

It might be better to dip the gun in the paint, then to dry the paint fast, heat it with a blow torch
