I mean... If God really was this totally powerful omnipotent entity, then God would have no problem communicating, right?
(Don´t give me they "you have to be open to God" argument. If God was all powerful, there would be no criteria for hearing God.)

God hears you, you just get no answer. ask the Queen or president a question, they wont answer you yet they will still exist.

You want to hear from God...??? He is talking all the time, we just don't always understand...
God has many ways of communicating with man... directly is one. He also uses Angels, other people, sometimes animals, the elements, a small voice inside and His Word, the written Word of God.
The main problem usually is that we are not tuned in to the "station". One time the Father spoke to Jesus and the people around heard it, and some thought it was an angel and some thought it thundered... John 12:28-30
The reason? Isaiah (One of God's major prophets) put it thusly: "Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear." Isaiah 59:1-2
So, perhaps there IS a criteria....
So, I pose the question to you... is your heart right with God? sometimes we hold our cup up to be filled, but it is up-side-down...
"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isaiah 1:18
"And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

Sure the president exists, but he doesn't claim to be omnipotent. God should be able to talk to everyone at once. The president has a hard enough time forming a sentence.

Um there is a slight problem.
God will not communicate with you....
because....
of your sins.
Isaiah 59

3For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
4None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
So the reason is because of unconfessed sin and lack of repentance.
Until you (and anyone else in your state) repents and confesses sin, until then....there will be no communication.
Because sin and wickedness and evil has you separated from God...so He will NOT hear.
But Jesus loved you so much that He died for your sins and shed His blood and rose again. If you will turn from sins and confess your sins to Jesus and receive Him as Lord, you can talk to God.
However, if you mock, harrass, belittle, insult, reject, ignore Jesus and God and keep living in sin and wickedness and never turn from sin....you will never be able to communicate with God and will spend eternity away from Him.
Some people think that isn't fair...actually it is.
God gives people what they want....You want eternity with God...give your life to Jesus.
You want eternity away from God...God will grant you your wish.
Choose wisely.
