yes, my mom.. i was there on her deathbed..she died of cancer just this year.. its so painful and somehow traumatic...
but its part of life i have to accept.. you can't hold on to people forever..

I don't recall seeing a human die first-hand, but I was emotionally hit when I saw a pig's throat get slit in Haiti.
I didn't take it too well when my pet rats died either.

I saw my grandmother pass away, but she actually died quite peacefully. It was almost as if at the moment she passed, that all the tension and stress was released from her face at once, like she just made it to a better place!
I've never witnessed anyone dying violently like what you described though!

i have never seen anyone die, but i work at a hospital and my department is very close to the morgue. so i see them walk by with them on the carts all covered up. sad huh?

that's tough to see.
but i haven't seen anyone die.
but my brother almost drowned and when i was in 5th grade, i almost died from choking.
