That does make sense!
And we can easily incorporate evolution into the big picture now that there were people before Adam and Eve. Everyone's happy, I know I am.

The Bible is very clear, and accurate, that the first people created were Adam and Eve. And in Genesis 5:4, we see that Adam and Eve had many other sons and daughters, which is where Cain found his wife. There is only one line of humanity, and that is only through Adam. Romans 5:12 says, "Wherefore, by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin..." Verse 14 says, "...death reigned from Adam....after the similitudeof Adam's transgression, who is the first figure of him that was to come."
What historic document are you referring to that says life pre-existed Adam/Eve? Please tell me. I dare say you don't have one - perhaps you are the one caught up in a traditional view?

You might want to read 1 Cor 15 45-47
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural and afterward that which is spiritual
47 The first man is of the earth, earthly the second man is the Lord from heaven

Modern genetics disagree with you;studies are consistent with ALL PEOPLE coming from ONE WOMAN.
And He has made of all nations of men of ONE BLOOD to dwell on the face of the earth.-Acts 11.26
The gospel only makes sense on the basis that all humans alive and all who have ever lived are descendants of the first man,Adam.
This means Cains wife was a descendant of Adam. She couldn't have come from another 'race.'
Adam and Eve had a number of sons and daughters-Genesis 5:4
Man was much more technologically advanced than today,we still can't emulate the Pyramids!!
Thats how there was a city built so soon.

"In a tree by the brook, theres a song bird who sings,"sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven," Adam and Eve were the first man and woman. I think that you just misread something in the bible. It never said that Cain found his wife in the city he went to. What makes you think that the city he went to already had man made buildings there? It could've been him to classify it as a city after he found the land. I studied this exact thing youre talking about myself when i was a teenager.

when Adam and Eve were alive there were no cities or other people. Just to let everyone know, Adam was the first person on Earth. Eve was made from on of Adams body parts.

What are you smoking? That's not true. Adam was the first human created and Eve was created to be a helpmate to Adam.

I COULD mention that Adam lived to be a thousand years old but I won't.
a lot can happen in that time. Look at China in the last hundred years...

Interesting theory.
So, why would the story of the fall of man include Adam and Eve?

You are making a private interpretation in order for the myth to make sense enough to you that you can believe it to be true. If what is literally stated is not sufficient in order for it to make sense, then the logical thing to do is to treat it as nonsensical.
