To answer your question. The Iraqi war has crippled the terrorist efforts to strike the US again. They have wasted so many lifes and resources trying to get us out of Iraqi that their ranks are in complete chaos. It also prevented Al Q from focusing solely on trying to save Afghanistan.

You've got cause and effect backward.
Saddam had plenty of bad things going on that made him a candidate, but the biggest deal (with regard to al Qaeda specificaly) was that once Afghanistan was far enoigh gone, Iraq was considered a most likely place for al-Qaeda to run to.
This is the same reason that we are also engaged in the GWOT in campaigns in the Horn of Africa, the Philippines, Indonesia, Georgia, Guatemala--these are all places where al-Qaeda already had some organizational structure, or strong affiliates, in place.

The situation in any country that directly impedes on another country in terms of what they need i.e. oil, only becomes critical when it is of self interest.
The Al-Quada or any other group have views of their own in terms of self preservation. Example: Colombian Guerrillas. If one does not agree with the powers that be.....there is a ton of propaganda out there. You, we must read between the lines.

The Iraq invasion had nothing to do with Al Queda. It was an international response to Saddam Hussein and his refusal to heed UN sanctions.
The current war effort is about stabilizing the region by allowing the legally elected government to gain control of their country against insurgents who prefer anarchy.
It's very easy to destroy entire nations, it is much more difficult to kill the enemy without killing civilians and destroying the whole country.

We surely can!!
but AQ is destroying every one of those countries..
Some day the governments will eliminate the insanity.
But forcing our military will destroy relationships...
As long as the destruction is over there sit back and watch the irrational behavior and destruction.. and judge their logic..

honestly, this whole war is just a pathetic excuse for what this country really wanted: oil. How can you justify killing innocent people, both American and Iraqi and whomever else is over there? So does that mean some country can invade the U.S. for invading iraq? On and on it goes. But to answer your questino, no, it was isn't justified, it is just a glorified excuse to make us look like heroes when that is far from the truth.

No, and once more, al-Qaeda was never present in Iraq to start with. Only when Bush decided to invade and occupied Iraq that al-Qaeda started using Iraq as their training ground.
