Commemorating the massacre of the babies by Herod in Bethlehem
I went to Mass for all the children who have been murdered and those starved or enslaved
especially those killed by abortion
and for all the victims of abortion and what the world has lost through abortion and infanticide

I played the Coventry Carol and Why, Herod

I donated to a pro life group and to orphan care

The Massacre of the Innocents takes place every day and that is definitely an horrendous historical fact.

The Biblical event is not attested to by Josephus but it is chillingly perfectly in accord with Herod"the Great"'s behavior

What evidence do you have that Herod did not massacre the babies of Bethlehem? Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Happy New year and Christmastide!

I normally attend Mass on Saturday morning and wanted to attend today. Unfortunately I have the flu so I read the Mass readings and prayed at home. I do however donate time, resources, and money to our local Pregnancy Care Center.

The exact day (27, 28, 29 december) on which the innocent children are to be remembered is, humorously enough a source of a great and serious debate that has raged many centuries among about 47 different denominations. The guts!

The massacre of the innocents didn't happen. This is a historical FACT.

But children are important and your concern for them, although misguided, is still a nice thought.
