Edison, the inventor of DC, tried his hardest to convince the public that Tesla's AC that was more dangerous, but DC is far more dangerous.

If you are shocked wit high-current DC, you do not have a "kickback" type reaction where you will jump away from the wire. Instead, the constant signal of DC causes you to hold on to the wire against your will, worsening the shock.

It is the AC which is more dangerous than the DC for the same specifications.

The reason is that while DC has a constant value of current, the AC goes above the r.m.s value. If I remember the formulas correctly then goes 1.414 times rms value. So for the same value of current we get a greater jerk when we come in contact with an AC.

DC value will remain the same.

Power and voltage being equal, DC Is considered
more hazardous to personnel because of the
physiology of the nerves.
A DC shock will cause the muscles to contract,
likely binding the unfortunate to the current source.

DC is more dangerous.

DC=Direct current. So, the measured voltage and associated current are constant with respect to time.

AC=Alternating current. Alternating current varies Voltage and polarity with respect to time. AC can be measured as equivalent to DC by applying an algorithm - RMS (Root Mean Square.

Both DC and AC can cause burns that can destroy organs and cause death.

A hazard of DC is that there is no "zero crossing," and it may be more difficult to get free of the voltage source.

An additional hazard of alternating current is that it is a sinusoidal wave form. This 60 cycle per second sinusoidal wave form can over-ride the natural sinus rythm of the heart, sending it into "fibrullation."

CPR must be performed, or a "de-fibrullator" with paddles must be used to restore the natural sinus rythm of the heart, or death will likely ensue.

device OF A DOWN!!! FOR EVER! device of a Down rather has the flexibility to think of! AC/DC purely bypass around with their australian fool making a song approximately balls and explosives. device of a Down is an incredibly complicated band. in case you probably did no longer understand, all 4 individuals are of Armenian descent, grandsons of Armenian Genocide survivors, and are broadly primary for their outspoken perspectives expressed in many of their songs. device is gifted, and in case you doubt this for one 2d pay attention to: BYOB, understand, question!, Suite-Pee, Chop Suey!, and distinctive different songs. it rather is Serj Tankian's call written in Armenian: ???? ???????. savour SOAD, savour existence. ROCK ON!

It's definitely DC, but I can't remember exactly why...it probably heats your tissue and nerves faster.
