In the day of Noah, Jehovah's intention was to rid the earth of all that had become corrupt and unholy. Satan and his demons were responsible for the wickedness then just as they are now. Some day this will all come to an end forever as Jehovah has promised.

Matt. 6:10 Let your kingdom come, let your will take place, as in heaven also upon the earth.

Rev. 20:1-3 1.) And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2.) And he seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3.) And he hurled him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him, that he might not mislead the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After these things he must be let loose for a little while.

And then we see that Satan will be let loose for a little while, be locked away forever.

Rev. 1:7-8 Now as soon as the thousand years have been ended, Satan will be let loose out of his prison, 8.) and he will go out to mislead those nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war. The number of these is as the sand of the sea.

Rev. 1:10 And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where both the wild beast and the false prophet already were; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

And again we see what Jehovahs promise for this earth is at Rev. 21:1-4

1.) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. 2.) I saw also the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3.) With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4.) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

The story of Noah was never a fairy tail, just as the prophesy of Jehovah Gods promises for our future is not a fairy tale.
Hope this helps.

It was real man, I know because I was the cook. Seriously, when you get more than one family in a community you will have a difference of opinion unless its a tribal culture! Do you take everything at face value? Look around you... the public school was set up so you would not know how to handle money... The biggest crook in American History is known as Honest Abe... Bill Clinton didn't inhale... Learn who you are and you will know in your heart that there is always hope!

Have you ever really considered Noah's ark? No, not the implausibility of the whole thing, animals from around the world, flooding the entire earth, etc., etc. (which is just pure poppycock in-and-of itself).

But why would the supreme creator of the universe, the alpha/omega, the divine knower of EVERYTHING have to kill (most) all of his previous creation and start over? Did he screw it up the first time?

Why couldn't the all-knowing head dude, just blink an eye and start over from scratch, in an instant - as if nothing ever happened before, erase all records of his previous work and "boink" here we are with universe II, the sequel (and no one the wiser about the first mistake).

Really silly if you think about it.

But from the perspective of goat farmers two thousand years ago, I can see how it makes sense.

Oh yeah, one more thing - you know that there are two versions of the flood right? And god took 7 of the clean animals and two of the unclean. (did the flood kill fish too? Did Noah have to manage aquariums as well? humm...)

Well Noah's flood was actually the second flood that happened on earth and man did return to his wicked ways only this time the Creator promised not to flood the earth again. So the Creator knew in advance that man being free will would return to his wicked ways but will spare him from a third flood.

Human nature never changed. God still left us with free will after the flood. Look what Noah did. He grew grapes, made wine, got drunk and passed out naked. Then woke up with a hangover and cursed one of his kids who saw him that way.

It's up to each person to overcome their "dark side".

There was no worldwide flood. This story is a myth that has been passed down for thousands of years. It originated from a pagan belief in a person named Gilgamesh who was a Sumerian king and hero.

Halley's Bible Handbook proved beyond a shadow of doubt that Noah's flood was real and happened. People are just so easily swayed by the devil that our time now is more corrupt than in Noah's day.

Ha ha, it certainly did end all bad things!!!

It cleared the whole Earth of badness.
I think it probably washed away all the nutrients on our food too.

Something similar needs to happen pretty soon or our Earth is gonna be wrecked.
