Of course, and congratulations on your decision. I pray it will bring you as much joy as it has brought me.

If you are in the US, phone 1 800 804 2121 and ask missionaries to call on you. They will explain the church's basic beliefs and invite you to attend church with them. In the UK the number to call is 0800 597 5800 and in Ireland 1800 200 4790. Alternatively go to www.mormon.org to find your nearest chapel and go along, or fill in an online form for missionaries to call on you.

There are some great stories about people who joined the LDS church on www.mormonconverts.com (including my story).

Yes. Go to the Mormon church in your area and talk to some of the people there. There are people that will help you called Missionaries, they will teach you. Then later if you really feel you want to join you can get baptized. :) Good Luck. For more information on the church you can go to:

Hi friend. Before joining the Mormon Church, it is important to familiarize yourself with the religion's teachings. Reading accurate sites about Mormonism is very useful ( http://www.mormon.org , http://www.allaboutmormons.com ), but another important step is meeting with representatives of the Church. To request a visit from these representatives, visit www.mormon.org/question/talk/ . These representatives can teach you about the basics of Mormonism free of charge.

Alternatively, you could just visit a Mormon chapel and tell the leader of the congregation (called a bishop) that you're interested in learning more. Fortunately, there is probably a Mormon congregation in your city. You can look up the address by visiting http://www.lds.org/basicbeliefs/meetinghouse .

I love being Mormon. It has changed my life by helping me grow closer to God. Good luck with your further research.

They will take anyone and you could find a stake house in your local area. Is this question a Mormon trap? I received a violation for expressing what I've read in publications about the Mormon as a cult. I think it ticked off one of the community evaluators. This might happend again.

I don't know, I've never see "The Mormon Church". I don't believe there is any such thing.

There is The Church of JESUS CHRIST of latter-day Saints, who's members are referred to as Mormons. But no such thing as "The Mormon Church".

Yes, but as with joining any church, I'd research it from all angles (not just from the church's own sources) first.

Yes and it is easy just find your local ward, and speak to the bishop. Or, invite your local wards missionaries around for a chat. Good Luck.
