I was told this as a small child and it stuck with me, although I haven't heard anything else about it. Is this true? If so, why? Thanks!

The question is WHY would you feed a dog mayo? They should not eat it as it is greasy and high in fat. There is no reson to feed a dog mayo anyways!

I don't think that it would kill a pup to feed it something with natural mayo in it. Make sure it has no extras added to it.

However, all the oil and crap that is with the mayo is not good for your pup. So for the sake of the heart and circulatory system, i would refrain from it.

I don't recall anything in manufacture of mayo that's poisonous to dogs, but it's not a food that should be fed to dogs.

Mayonnaise is beaten white eggs, vinegar & oil.
If your dog eats mayonnaise by accident it won't hurt him but it's not something you should feed him.
