It is hard to get rid of . I have auto immune disorder which makes your body weak in fighting off many things.
I got it in one nail (if you mean Nail fungus) and it is spreading to others now.
They have across the counter treatments. I think I may have found a way to treat it, by painting on the treatment and taping latex glove fingers on over the medication for a couple of days.
I have done it with one nail and it acts as if it has killed the fungus (and some skin around the nail) and it seems to be growing out evenly from the base.
Mine tingle first, feeling peculiar and then get warm and swell a bit. Then the nail lifts. I hate this problem so much.
A Podiatrist or family practitioner can put you on a fungus medication, but I think you have to take it for about 6 months and it can be hard on your liver. I personally am on too many medications to add that one.
If you just have a simple infection try neosporin and a bandage.

Hi there,
trim the nails once in a week.
apply anti fungal lotion to the nail twice daily.
if the nail is infected very badly, excision may be necessary.
before applying the anti fungal lotion, dip the finger/toe in waem water for 10 minutes.
continuously do the treatment for 15 days, the result is assured.
best wishes...

I use rubbing alcohol on everything to prevent and clean wounds or to just disinfect...but sometimes use Neosporin when I'm afraid something (anything) will get infected. If it (the skin) gets mean red, you get blue lines, it discolors, the size of the finger enlarges, then rush off to the emergency room to get it treated (and get a shot to counteract the infection).

try going to web md.. they have a sypmtom checker and they can tell you what you might have and then go from there. I would just clean it up as good as i can, proxcide and rubbing alcohol and then some neo sporen w/ a bandaid and if it does not heal you might need antibiotics...

Do you have anti biotics. If so don't worry. If not go back to your doctor as you don't want it to spread. I'm sure you will be fine x
