yes...not only will the flavor be better , the biscuits will be more tender.....just make sure you handle the dough only enough to incorporate the ingredients...follow any kneeding instructions to the letter...over working the dough will toughen it.....good luck & enjoy!

Yes - you should be able to because both butter & shortening seem to have the same properties as far as baking goes.

For biscuits sure...they will be Great!!!
Brush the tops with egg wash for a nice golden color.Brush with butter when you take them from the oven.

Will depend on on the context really. Which is better as a snack - fresh fruit personally. It's tastier and gives you that little bit of sweetness. Which can be better as a snack if you are trying hard to minimize back on sugar and lose weight vegetables
