Suicide happens when the person is mentally ill. It is not their fault. In fact they are of course just dead the same as anyone else who dies but if you happen to believe that there is some sort of afterlife and that someone is going to judge you (nonsense of course but there you are) then that the person committed suicide makes no difference.

Taking a life is a sin, be it ones own or anothers. The spirit will not rest as the life has ended prematurely with the mind in turmoil, hence the reason for the drastic ending. Therefore I think that the soul will be in limbo, neither here or at rest there.

There is no afterlife. But if there was, there would be a special deep pit in hell for religious twerps who give people guilt feelings, knowing that some will end their life.
You see: that is how religion starts: I imagine to have power beyond the grave.

Nothing at all. When you're dead you're dead, end of life and time, with eternal darkness. There is definately no afterlife and I certainly wouldn't want it if there was. Someone once said that, "life is just a short span of light between two emense periods of darkness". I'm know they're right.

I believe in the afterlife. I also believe that MOST people who commit suicide, when they do the deed, have their brain incredibly twisted. I think God takes that into account.. I believe in a loving and merciful God.. Jesus himself said, on the cross, Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. I believe that most people who commit suicide fall into that kind of category.

Suicide is NEVER a solution. When someone commit suicide in the next life he will have exactly the same problem. The way out is the way through.
But more about such things you can find on body-mind-spirit.fsm.org

guess if they wanted to leave this world that badly they are now at peace. I would like to think they went to a lovely place and feel better.
