racy pictures are those that are a BIT beyond the usual standards of good taste. Can be somewhat revealing without being pornographic, or just teasing and tittilating.

HI Suzi. Both racy and racey are one of a pair but depict different ideas of what people would call "antisocial behaviour". Racy is more involved with drugs and sex and non pornographic pictures, IE, racy pictures. Where Racey is involved with pornographic film / pictures. Both miss New Jersey and Miss France were both banned from future Miss World and Miss Universe as they both posed for racy pictures with a gossip magazine. But Miss France still keeps her title and the promises that go with it. Best wishes. Peter

Cropping removes part of the image. It is usually only necessary if the camera user does not fill the cameras frame with all the important visual data. Then they later have to crop out the extraneous image data. I am sure you have heard of the "rule of thirds" used when framing a photo. Well if the person operating the camera, places the subject smack in the middle of the camera viewfinder, they will later have to crop the image to recompose the shot if they want it to be more compelling. Another time cropping is needed is when you want a print that is not the same aspect ratio as your original image file. If you crop it before sending it to the lab, you have say over what you crop out of the image. In either case, you will be throwing away some of the original image, so you have to make sure that you saved the cropped images under different file names so you do not overwrite the original image file.

Yes, racy photos are those that contain mild naughtiness. Also, that term has gone out of general use for the most part. It tends to be older people who use the term now.

Racy/racey pictures mean naughty pictures; something that "polite society" shouldn't see. ;-)

i agree it means they are a bit risque, there might be a nipple shot or something like that, or could have been shown smoking or partying posing for picture (clothed) but in you know funny positions.
dosnt mean porn that would be explicit photos.
