am 17yr old and during my summer break i want to join an NGO which works for children.but i don't know almost anything abt how to apply and to which NGO's.so please help me with any information you have.

Your best bet at 17 would be to try a camp type or after school type program. You might start with your local community and see what is run there. Talk to programs that your peers went through when they were children.

I tried the same thing. One NGO accepted me. I did some work of my choice, but had to do a lot of work I felt was useless. Then I tried with three more NGOs. They sent me to different places and said that I would get work there. But I did not get work there even though I am willing to work for free. If you get good work, please tell me also.
