You pretty much follow the commandments, and practice love for all people. Most folks can't do something like that. It takes someone who doesn't harbor anger or resentment long, and is very giving of themselves. There is no guarantee of compensation for this so most folks don't even think about it.

Yes, there is supposed to be much more after accepting Jesus. That is really the first step; so to speak.
If you are serious about the christian faith you should be following the examples that Jesus set forth in the bible and use these instructions in your everyday life.

After you accept Christ as you savior, you are supposed be Christ like. There are a lot of people who were like that at first and then they lose sight of what they were doing. Others may say that they have accepted Christ, but they probably didn't if they are the same as they used to be. After you accept Christ the church suggests baptism and then you should go to church and pray on a regular basis. You also need to pray about what it is that God wants you to do through Him. He will let you know but don't expect an immediate answer. I did this book call experiencing God and it was awesome. It taught me alot and also taught me how to put more trust in Him.

Jesus didn't say "Believe that I am the Christ and your life will end happily after 120 years".
He said "follow Me"
He said "love one another"
He said "Live within the law and perfect it with love"
In all that you do and in all that you are, you must now plan your life according to the footsteps of Jesus. I have no idea where people get this whole "I don't have to be good anymore coz I believe in Jesus", when He has implicitly said in every single sermon / message He taught that we are to do all things in love.

When you became a Christian that means you become trust worthy in God and put your heart in his hands. You have to be baptized to be able to say you're a true believer in Christ. You can be a bad person when you're a Christian but that just means you don't follow the Word of God. You're supposed to pray but most Christians don't because of their "busy schedule" and most Christians do go to church every Sunday, Saturday, and sometimes Wenesday. Other than that all you really you to do is stay pure to yourself and follow God's Word.

The only thing that I feel a Christian should do after accepting Jesus is to listen to His teachings and apply it in life and not to sway away from His teachings no matter what. Even Jesus never broke His ow teachings of forgiveness when He was nailed.

i believe to be a good person alle time, there is so much bad things going on in this world that it makes me feel good just to help others, look at the elderlys, mistreatet, i worked in a Nursinghome and what i saw and what they did to those peoble is cruel after all those peoble made our country and the peoble before them, i think its very good to be kind understanding and loving, if you exept jesus you try to do the best you can but we should change our life, we dont want to be like i said cruel and mean and it is a good feeling to, good luck and Happy New year, going to church alone will not get you to heaven but fellowship is importent, jesus said, where there is 2 or 3 gathered in my name i will bless you and that is fellow ship to. also we will never be perfect, take it one day at a time.

I think the rule is simple, accept Jesus, and love Him.
logically, if we love someone, we want him/her to be happy. and we'll do everything we can to make (and keep) him/her happy.
what often happen nowadays is, people only accept Jesus, and stop at that. they accept Jesus just because they're afraid of hell.
they don't love Jesus, therefore they don't even think about doing things that pleased Jesus (i.e. good things, love one another, etc)
what's the use if we go to church but we still hate certain people? what's the use if we pray, we only pray for the good things to happen to ourselves and not thinking about other people?
well, I'm going to stop my preaching now :D

You're supposed to Follow Jesus and give your life to Him. He's not fire insurance just saving your from Hell and you go about and do whatever you want. WWJD?
Jesus cared for others. Jesus gave Himself to help others even when He was tired and hungry. He fed others. He showed others the path to God. He drew others to Himself.
when He saw the multitudes He was moved with compassion--they were like sheep having no shepherd. His heart was broken for others, as well as His body.

There is none righteous, no not one. If you have accepted Christ, your righteousness is of HIM. He is your permanent sacrifice. He advises us to take his yoke (teachings, burden for doing service to God) upon us and learn of him (read your bible) for his yoke is easy (he will help you in all things) and his burden is light (because of his help carrying your load.)
Commune with God in prayer everyday. All day, really. He will keep you in perfect peace if you keep your mind stayed on him.
Remember it is grace (Jesus's dying sacrifice) that saves us and not good works. However, faith without good works is dead, so try to do good too. Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Worship at church is a good thing, but it does not save you. It can strenghten your faith by the teaching of the preacher and praising God. This is why the bible says not to forsake the assembling of yourselves together (to worship.)
You can't have a relationship without communication. So talk to God everyday. Read your bible (his way of talking to you!) Praise him for the good work he has begun in you.
