Think carefully. Is there any aspect or characteristic in which man can be "more than god." (e.g. more loving, etc.)

Nirvanagirl-the apostrophes are there so that any particular deity may be inserted into the question. Your assumption speaks worlds.

I appreciate all the atheist answers, but I had no doubt you would find this question easily answered. I was really hoping for thoughtful input from believers.

Most of us have better morals than any of the major deity characters.

I like the idea that we can be "more sinful"; however, the word "sin" in the language of the New Testament means "to miss the mark", it means to not quite be what we should be, so it is not "more" but "less" than God.
I think the answer to this question is a resounding "NO", if we mean God in the sense of the infinite being (and if we don't mean that, then we need to first define "god"). Since humans are finite beings, we cannot be greater than God in any degree.

Since the word 'god' simply means mighty one, a case could be made that man, in a sense, can be like god.
In fact, back in Israelite times, judges were sometimes termed a 'god'.
However, it seems logical to say the whole thing only works on paper.

One can aspire to in aspect to be Godly, but since man is of a "FINITE." nature,(meaning with beginning and an end.)our nature does not allow us to ever in this life to be"more than God. If you believe in God.. it is taught in Theology that there are no streets of gold, nor reunion with our fellow man in heaven, but a realization of Gods infinite love( meaning never ending no beginning) strictly spiritual (no bodies) knowing God in his infinite being, and his true love,he for you, you for him, that love will be so consuming, we will need nothing else for our eternal life!! Hell, will be , being shown Gods love in its eternal magnificence, and then ,having it taken away, and having that realization for eternity..That's the theory.. I didn't create it , I just explained it.. So based on Theology, it is impossible to be more than God!!! SOLOMON

There is someone greater than God, he makes God say 'yes' even if He has already said 'no'. He is the man who prays.

I think we have proven that we are greater than god. God has never found cures for diseases or done medical procedures that have saved millions of lives like the scientists in modern times have.
