I am going blind from Retina dystrophy and would like more information. I've been told by a specialist that there is no treatment and only need to be monitored. I know that it manifests itself by color and night blindness and it's genetic, but would like more information.
My grandmother and mother had it.

try googling fight for sight (english) foundation for fighting blindness (american) institute for opthalmology (english, part of moorfields) Good luck. I think that if you already have a family history it tends to follow the same pattern. But I also think that they are going to be able to offer some form of treatment soon. So don't give up hope...

There are a number of different retinal dystrophies, you should ask your doctor for the exact name. Then google the name and you should find lots of information.
