I am curious why you want to know. Are you interviewing someone for a job or do you want to get to know them as a person?

If it is for a job you can have the person take personality tests. These tests can often measure the honesty in people and determine if the tester is more outgoing or introverted. But this would be dependant upon the person honestly answering the questions - some won't. Plus you would want to give many tests to get a better over all view. In addition you would want to check refrences and work history on his resume.

Other than that you will just have to talk to the person and evaluate this person over time. Get to know their likes and dislikes. See how they behave with others.

It is very hard to label someone "all" good or bad. Their is so much gray area. People are people. Some are saints, some are devils. Most are in between.

What is it you want this person to do for you? Ask the person how he or she feels about this issue and then check their refrenences.

Did they do well in school? Do they come from a good family? Are they religious? Do they help out the community? What are their political views? Why?

You can't tell a good person from a bad person. They could be one in the same, depending on what's going on in their life. My sister, for instance, is bad to me and some other people who have tried to be her friend, but good to her dog and to men who use her and lose her. But no one can say for sure if she's good or bad. See?

Hm... Well sometimes you really cant until you get to know them better.Sometimes its all based on personal opinions whether you think someone is good or bad. Some people might think some actions are bad while others dont.

Whatever someone has done in the past is most likely what they will do in the future. So if the person in question has treated others poorly in the past, they are likely to treat you poorly. Nothing is absolute and there is not way to know anything for certain.

Count how many of their friends you think are good or bad. Good people tend to hang w/ good people. The more the better. Or just do a criminal backround check, it only costs like, $39.99.

If your with them in person, it is easy, just look them in the eyes when you converws if they are not able to look at you straight in the eyes then they are likely shifty or perhaps shy, but it does narrow it down some huh?

Actually, it's none of your business---the focus should be on you, and who you are, and how you act, because you are the only one you can control.
You also need a lot of attention from yourself, that is wasted if you get caught up in other people.
Look at that Man in the Mirror (as Michael Jackson so sagely sings) and fix him (or her.)

If someone behaves like I do, I think he/she is good. If opposite, I feel they are bad. I should not do it but if some one has same values and rules as I have, I believe they are the best.
