No, just declare open season on those that hide their short comings by putting others down. You know, "Do to others... and RUN!!!"

...if we did that to a harmless old man, we'd be no better than medieval superstitious Christians. ...far too uncivilized.

I suggest we actually punish the largest business in the world, right where it will hurt them the most, financially. I suggest the US government should treat the Catholic church as the foreign power it actually is and seize all its assets currently within our borders. Much of the gold bullion stored in Fort Knox currently belongs to the Catholic church. Why must we allow a foreign dictatorial government to freely operate within our country? The Catholic church has no Constitutional authority to operate within our secular nation. Seize their assets and throw the bums out, just like any other foreign invader. Americans have the right to protect their children from a worldwide organization that actively creates perverts through mandatory celibacy. If the Vatican refuses to make significant changes to its archaic doctrine, then America needs to make it abundantly clear that its pervert priests are not welcome here. We are a democracy and are not required to follow the dictates of a foreign tyrant. Since the Church refuses to clean up its own act, we should throw the bums out. Period.

In 1843 (I think), the government of Mexico seized all Church assets and expelled the Catholic church from Mexico for one-hundred years. That was what it took to finally end the Catholic practice of burning innocent people at the stake.

If we don't hit the Catholics where it really hurts, history has repeatedly shown that they will simply continue their evil ways. Throw the bums out and deprive them of their American assets. History demonstrates that this is the only effective way to control Vatican tyranny operating within our soverign nation.

There is a misconception about this man. Psalms 146:3 gives you a firm answer to your question. When Jesus died the priestly function ceased. So these men or women in some cases will have to deal God someday. We don't judge each other. Matt:7 Galations 6:4 Hopes this helps

No, but it would be nice if international law would allow families of sicko priests to be able to sue the Papacy for negligence. Unfortunately as it stands now, the Vatican is legally considered a sovereign country and does not have to answer to any court.

Should all top American officials be held responsible for what a tiny minority of American officials do anywhere in the World? Are you claming that the pope is all-knowing?
The pope has comdemned the pederasty crimes of some priests and the cover-up of many bishops and chancery officials when they simply transferred the sacriligious "sexually active' pederasts(most of the cases are of homosexual sex with male teens)

No.

Jesus was the perfect lamb of God. THAT is why he could die for our sins.

Are you going to beat your child because of what other children do? Give them 100 lashings because some kid somewhere did something wrong?

I realize you are insulting The Pope by calling him "poop."

This is offensive.

The Catholic Church has billions of dollars of assets and should pay the victims and their families from its vast resources. All priests who were involved should be fired and ex-communicated.
