the average girl has finished growing by age 18, but some girls will continue to grow until they are 21.

The average girl will grow about 2"-4" between 16 and 18. If she grows until she is 20, maybe another 2"-4".

To get a better idea of how tall you may be when you are finished growing. Take a look at your mom and dad. Most girls are usually the same height or a little taller than their mother, if your dad is exceptionally tall or just a great deal taller than your mother, then you will probably be some where midway between your mother's and father's height.

Really, your genetic history will tell you a lot. Did your Mom and Dad mature late or early? What is their height?, etc.

I grew rapidly in the fifth grade. I was huge compared to my classmates. At 5'9" in the 5th grade, I was a bit of a freak. I'm considered "short" in my family. There are three girls under 6 ft. in my family and most of the men are well over 6'7"!

In general, human females have completed their growth cycle by the age of 16. Pre-puberty is the time when females have their largest rate of growth. Boys have it a bit later and tend to have growth "spurts". That's why, for a few years, girls tend to be taller than boys. For most girls, once they've had their period for about a year, their growth rate slows considerably.

Now, because of the amount of hormones and other chemicals in foods, especially meat and dairy products, some genetic scientists believe that girls are going through puberty earlier and earlier. Its not unusual for me to have 10 year old 5th graders who are already menstruating. That was unheard of 30 years ago. It also seems that girls are continuing to grow a bit longer. However the rate is quite slow. In general, about an inch or two after beginning menstruation.

Not very many, if at all. Some girls have finished growing by the time they reach 16, others carry on growing for many more years. If someone wants to know roughly how tall they will end up being, they should look at their family, parents and grandparents, siblings etc.

Depends on the girl and her hormones. Some stop as early as 14 (I did) while others continue to grow until 19-20. However, by 21, the vast majority of girls have stopped.

It should be none. Theoretically, according to what i've learned in my Health Education classes, girls normally stop growing at the age of 16, whilst guys stop at the age of 18.

I have the feeling it may be about 2 or 3 inches... but that is not going to happen in everyone's case.

Hope this helps.

Happy New Year.
