We don't but we're not allowed to kill people for homosexuality like they can in the Far East. Remember Ahmedthenutjob telling us, at the U.N. IN NYC, that Iran has no "problem" with homosexuals? *laughter*

1) The United States government and it's laws are secular, and not based on the Christian religion or any other.
2) The majority of Christians today realize that what somebody else does in his own bedroom is simply not their concern (and at most, is strictly a matter between those people and God).
3) If two homosexuals for some reason decided to break into a Christian's house and start having sex there, you can rest assured that Christian would then try to put a stop to it, with plenty of help from the police. Isn't that good enough for you?

I don't think all Christians accept it. They're a funny lot! But we shouldn't make law just to satisfy our prejudices. And especially not to conform with a primitive code of behaviour. There might have been a time when adherence to illogical and unexplained strictures were important to preserve the cohesion of a tribal group, but we are well past that time now. The Bible is an interesting document of fable and history. That's it. It was written by man, who made the pens and the paper and later the printing presses. And it is used by man to argue against gaining new knowlege.

Homosexuality isn't "allowed" by Christians in the West--a huge majority of Christians are very opposed to homosexuals even having the same rights as other individuals. "Gay bashing"--that is, violence against homosexuals still exists and probably always will--most of it feuled by just the same sort of religiously imposed intolerance as the passage from Leviticus that you mentioned in your question.
However, the book of Leviticus also condemns other sexual acts deemed abominable by the Jewish God, such as adultery. Ironically you don't see very many Christians or Jews shouting out about the need to stone to death and burn married heterosexuals found to be guilty of THAT abomination!

Because Christians in the 'West' don't live in a Christian theocracy. Neither do Muslims. Why don;t you ask all the Muslims in the West why they 'allow' homosexuals like me to live?
There are many Old Testament laws that Christians don't follow.
There are also plenty of non-Christians who won't allow such a thing to happen. Are you going to argue about not killing children for disobedience to parents next?
Why spread barbarism and ignorance? Do you have a good reason to do that? Did Hitler?
No. So how about *not* doing it? You are promoting murderous hatred and violence against homosexuals in exactly the same way that Hitler did. Time to grow up, or shut up.

How many homosexuals have been put to their death in the East over the last year or so. I have heard that it is very well practised just as long as you are not caught out by the religious police who are on the lookout for those who break the law of God is that true.
Could you give us an example with your rationale.

Christians do not "allow it." We are not responsible for others actions - only our own. Whatever sin we choose to commit (and we CHOOSE to do it!) that is only answerable to God.
God gave us his Word (the Bible) as a set of instructions for life. When we follow the instructions we will find peace and contentment, safety, love and fulfillment.
No one is righteous so we cannot follow it to the letter. Our continual slide towards death is the result.
We are called to "hate the sin - love the sinner" for we all far short of the Glory of God.
Show me one good thing about the practice of homosexual behavior. Nothing good can come of it. Gays/Lesbians declare they receive "love" from it, but this is all selfish pride and their pride will be their undoing. They are putting themselves above God in their action. See where that has lead anybody!

Just because some book somewhere says someone should be put to death for having a sexual attraction for the same gender...
Doesn't make it "right" or "proper..."
Those "religious rules" were written in ancient times when mankind was not "enlightened" by modern day knowledge of human nature and human psychology...
Besides...in the West...we live in a "free country..."
Where the rights of ALL individuals are respected and protected...
(Only "Capital Murder" crimes of the 1st degree are punishable by death...)
To punish two consenting adults of the same gender for "expressing their love for each other," or even just because they want a little "sexual fulfillment...
Is barbaric, inhumane, ludicrous, ridiculous, shameful, merciless, uncompassionate, evil, mean, cruel, and a grave miscarriage of justice...

Christians in the west don't allow homosexuality. Homosexuals in the west practice homosexuality without our consent. I haven't had the first homosexual come up to me and ask if it was fine with me to become homosexually involved. In fact, I haven't heard of any Christians having that question put to them.

Even in the bible Paul would often mention need for missionaries to go to churches to teach the correct docturin. Today is no different. Because there are so many churchs, we are loosing the true meaning of the bible and how the church should be run. But one Church will never change their views and they will always follow the bible as the correct path.
