So my pup recently has had allergic reactions to Purina Pro plan (such as dander biting paws and scratching alot) so I switched her food to Solid Gold Wolf Cub about a week and a half ago she has since stoped biting her paws and the scratchig isnt anything out of the norm but the dander is still there, shes a 7 month old 65 lbs Black Lab so with her being black and her coat being so shinny I see every piece of dnader on her, im guessing I need to give the new food a few more weeks to really set in but is there anything to do for the dander for the time being, I was told by my father to go out and buy oatmeal shampoo, any suggestions ?

TYKE, I just answered one of you questions and to be honest I dont really value your opinon based on what you asked, and I know its not because a month ago I had a skin test ran on her at the vet and it was because of her food

You can also get her some Salmon oil to put in her food. Just make sure it Mercury free. It should state it clearly on the bottle. If it doesn't than dont get it. Or you can add 1 teaspoon of olive oil to her food every other day, not every day.
A good Oatmeal shampoo is great too just so you don't give the dog a bath too often. It will dry her skin out too much and cause even more problems. You should see a big difference in a month it takes a while for everything to start to work ok.

Try salmon oil or even a small amount of olive oil added to her food. Try a shampoo for dry skin and look at the humidity level in your home that can contribute to dryness as well.

I had to give my Golden oil supplements, as best I remember Cod liver oil. Nothing worked until one vet diagnosed an infection and treated her with antibiotics. I had to give her the meds for about a month. But it took care of the problem.
