Progress is the most important thing - you have forever to perfect your spirit, but the purpose is to do that as expeditiously as possible. Do not despair - things will look quite different as you advance spiritually - just as the view from the top of a mountain is different than that of a person at the bottom looking up.

I don't believe that reincarnation is about "missing the mark". We were born into this world with freedom of choice. I believe that when we are born into the next, that freedom of choice is not lost and reincarnation then is a product of choice, not decree or punishment. I do not believe in "fallen theology", salvation or redemption. Your birth and life is a gift, not a curse.

Reincarnation is a cycle and the force of movement is karma. You may not be able to chose unless you can break through the barrier of life cycle. That is why we need to practice and purify ourself.Buddha teaches the way and it is up to all to practice and break through ourself. Ai Mi Tuo Fo

"Believe" & "facts" two different things. Believe word comes under your question and facts under the answer.Yes only perfect are said to be allowed not to come back but fact is no body is perfect so every one has to come again and again to enjoy this beautiful world. So enjoy till alive and do not worry you are coming again.

Why not? This is the purpose of human form of life, to stop reincarnation and achieve perfection in this lifetime. The only qualification is to have intense desire to get out of this material world and take the right process of liberation. To take birht again is no nice, there is so much suffering, thing are getting worse, wars, crime, abortions etc. we actually don't know where and from who or what situation we are going to take birth, don't risk your life.
As explained in Bhagavad-gitä, if we establish our lost relationship with Krishna we will achieve the supreme goal of entering Krishna's planet. Those who sincerely serve the mission of Caitanya Mahäprabhu, following the transcendental life-style prescribed by the Lord, will enter the Lord's abode at the end of this lifetime.
One can never achieve a permanent situation by mental speculation, and what to speak of by ordinary material sense gratification. Krishna says in Bhagavad gita:
Bhagavad-gitä [4.9]
janma karma ca me divyam evam yo vetti tattvatah
tyaktvä deham punar janma naiti mäm eti so ’rjuna
TRANSLATION
“One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna.”
Also in Bg 8.6 says:
yam yam väpi smaran bhävam
tyajaty ante kalevaram
tam tam evaiti kaunteya
sadä tad-bhäva-bhävitah
TRANSLATION
"Whatever state of being one remembers when he quits his body, O son of Kunti, that state he will attain without fail."
PURPORT
The process of changing one's nature at the critical moment of death is here explained. A person who at the end of his life quits his body thinking of Krishna attains the transcendental nature of the Supreme Lord, but it is not true that a person who thinks of something other than Krishna attains the same transcendental state. This is a point we should note very carefully. How can one die in the proper state of mind? Mahäräja Bharata, although a great personality, thought of a deer at the end of his life, and so in his next life he was transferred into the body of a deer. Although as a deer he remembered his past activities, he had to accept that animal body. Of course, one's thoughts during the course of one's life accumulate to influence one's thoughts at the moment of death, so this life creates one's next life. If in one's present life one lives in the mode of goodness and always thinks of Krishna, it is possible for one to remember Krishna at the end of one's life. That will help one be transferred to the transcendental nature of Krishna. If one is transcendentally absorbed in Krishna's service, then his next body will be transcendental (spiritual), not material. Therefore the chanting of Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Räma, Hare Räma, Räma Räma, Hare Hare is the best process for successfully changing one's state of being at the end of one's life.
