I just bought a ps3 and have hooked the ethernet cable and up to my modem because i havnt yet baught a d-link so for now im just unplugging my computers link. I have gone through the easy setup mode on the ps3 except when it did its test connection it failed it said my ip address was not found. Then i went back to go see if i could set it up manually but i couldnt i put in my ip address but then it needed other stuff like netmask dsn and weird stuff like that. How do i find those stats out. I have basic knowlede to wat that stuff is. Please help. if you have any other ideas as to setup insteat to get it to work then that would be awesome. Thanks :) Any help very much appreciated.

I had that issue too. Me and the guy from the provider's office were thinking a lot, but haven't found a solution. I solved all those problems by bying a simple wired router. D-link 604.

try resetting the system by going to the settings then network settings press x then do the wired settings.

You need to have your PC connected as well (I think).
