I can't think of a thing that would merit eternal torture. That is truly the most evil thing I could think of.

No finite crime is worthy of infinite punishment.
The only unforgivable sin in the Buybull, you can read about in Mark 3:29
Response to details:
Mark 3:29 describes the only unforgivable sin that can be found in the Bible. What other references are you looking for? I know the Bible like the back of my hand, but don't know what you're asking for other than what I've given you already.

From a Christian and Biblical standpoint, it says in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (hence not go to hell) So basically its as easy as believing that Jesus is your savior and being transformed by his grace and love. In result, you will want to obey him like you do a loving father. You will sin and mess up along the way and thats why he died on the cross is so that we could mess up without going to hell or without feeling guilty forever.. There is one unforgiveable sin (Matthew 12:31-32). (If you blasphemy against the holy spirit)I hope this helps you understand more. The Bible also says seek and you will find...so keep seeking!

the only unforgivable sin is rejecting the Holy Spirit. By not accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior is the only way you will go to Hell. All other sins are forgiving. If you want to go to Heaven all you have to do is admit that you are a sinner, ask God to forgive you of your sins and ask Him to come into your heart. No matter what sin you have committed it will be forgiven. God bless.

IVE GOT 3 THUMBS DOWN BUT PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU DISMISS IT!!!!
Well, firstly, "Hell" is probably not what you think it is. A lot of people consider it to be in Earth where its hot where you get tortured. THE BIBLE SAYS NO SUCH THING!!!!
Hell, (or sheol) is the common grave of mankind where everybody goes when they die. When a dead one is put in the common grave, they are in gods memory, waiting to be resurrected.
Even Jesus went to hades (sheol, hell) when he died, look at Acts 2:31. He was not there for long though, he was resurrected more or less straight away!
You may be getting mixed up with gehenna: (Mark 9:47)
The fires were kept burning by adding sulfur to burn up the refuse outside the city. Jesus used that valley as a proper symbol of everlasting destruction.
However, it doesn't mean they'll be tortured, it just means that they'll be destroyed forever, basically, not be resurrected, gone forever.
Psalm 146:4 says that when somebody dies: "His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish." - So no torture, etc after death.
Gehenna: (which i think you are talking about)
I think its for those who know the truth about god, etc and deliberately disobey it. Definetely, Satan and the demons will be destroyed forever in the future.
Also, the bible says that hell, (hades or sheol) will be thrown into gehenna too. Which means that after hell is emptied, all the people are resurrected, death will be no more because the grave will be destroyed forever.

Being born, according to Christian theology.
The problem of "original sin" means that human beings, *as born* are unacceptable in the sight of god. Everyone needs redeeming before they do ANYTHING.
The 39 articles of religion, the basic exposition of doctrine of the Anglican communion also points out that even good acts carried out by non-Christians are effectively sinful, so undermining the "good person" argument.
See articles 9 and 13, below.

Any moment when you are not in the thoughts of God (Krishn to me), is sinful. So we are hell-worthy all the time. When we start practising obsession with Him, we start feeling the aromatic pleasure of companionship with God. Relentless practice will make us take a 'U turn' and we will stop ever being hell-bound thereafter.

All sin is forgivable by God.
He isn't as big an ogre as many would have you believe.
He wants us to enjoy ourselves, but not at the price of harming anyone or any thing.
He loves all living things.
He only asks us to have faith, and to recognize and sincerely seek forgiveness when we stray, and to try to reign in our sinfull nature.
He created us as sinfull creatures. It would be pretty disingenuous and cruel for him to punish us for eternity for being what he made us to be.

Ever read the ten commandments? They're rules most people know anyhow. There's only two that possibly could not ever be forgiven as they remove another persons earthly life. "Thou shalt not kill" , as you can't bring one back from the dead so that they can live the life given to them and "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor", that also destroys their life and there's no way to erase a lie.
