At my college, they offer a degree in Event Management.... This would be perfect for you.

Or, try Hotel/Hospitality if your school has it. Otherwise, I'd do management or Business Entrepreneurship.

Find someone who does this as a business, and get either an internship or a part time position, with them. While you are attending college, you can start learning the business. Find out what courses you need to take to be proficient and successful at wedding planning.

Talk to a career counselor. They should guide you along. However I really think this is a field where you need to just break in and prove yourself.

You will be hired based off of referrals and other word of mouth. It will be hard at first until you get your name out there.
