don't risk it
the difference in costs between a UK sourced TV and Chinese sourced TV is going to be minimal (especailly after you have taken into account the transport, costs, import duties, & VAT)
there may well be some difference, but if you buy formt he UK you will get a guarantee, it shoudl be repairable should there be a fault. if the order goes wrong you have some protection.. you will have lkittle or no protection if you buy outside the EU.
remember TV's need to be compatible with the UK broadcasting systems (thats going to change in the near future).
its bad enough reading a manual badly translated from Chinese let alone one written in Chinese
As regards to reliability there should be no significant problems, after all most consumer electronics are Chinese made. Chinese made is no longer a deserved label for cheap shoddy goods (although some are)

E bay is as good a site as any but make sure you are paying using pay pal which does give some guarantees at least of contract being fulfilled. The biggest drawback is the delivery and insurance costs in relation to the price of the goods. There are many Chinese products which are as good as other country´s manufacturers. If you look carefully at a lot of electrical products you will find that the component parts come from China even if the item is apparently manufactured closer to home.

As previous answers have said, "Don't...".
You stand a 95% chance of being ripped off, losing your money and never getting the goods you have paid for.
You stand a 5% chance of getting what you paid for, only to find it packs up a few weeks later and finding out you have no warranty.
When dealing with electronics from China, you cannot use words like "top quality service and good prices". It does not exist.

A number of people have paid for electrical goods on EBay from China. One scam is not to accept payment by Pay pal. Money sent no goods, nothing can be done. So, use the comparison websites to get the best deal, you will be surprised, and you will get a guarantee.

Dude, that is so not worth the money, I'd rather spend more than buy something that's from China. They have a bad reputation of faulty products and goods.
