You guys herd about this? If you roll a bamboo stick , or beer bottle over your shin for an hour a day , you will build callicus on your shins , and kill the nerves in them. Have you herd this , I have seen some people in my gym who do this , dont know if it really works , know of anything else that works?

-just wondering because it really ****** hurts when you get your leg kick blocked with a knee.

you are still fairly new to shin contact??..... the only thing that helps lessen the pain, is repetetion... its some combination of being used to the pain, and your shins are conditioned ... but after a couple years of constant impacts... the pain will not be enough to even bother you... it still hurts (not as much) ... but you are more aware of what you need to do and not aware of the pain... good luck

Just keep conditioning your shins with 1) The heavy bag, then after a couple months
2) a couple of hanging car tyres. Thats the way to conditioning.shins (and fists)

i've heard of it but i also hear its bad for your shins too in the long run.

nothing beats old fashion kicking the heavy bag and pads. sorry
