There are number of possibilities such as B 12 deficiency if this pain is related to a problem with nerves being damaged. The only way to know for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be causing this.

You didn't say what Vitamins you are already taking .......

Vit-E repairs tissue
Vit-C improves resilience

How long have you had this pain?

Do gentle shoulder rolling if the pain is in your shoulder socket. Rolling your should slowly back 3 times and forward 3 times. Repeat this after a few hours.

If the pain is in your fore-arm, do some light-weight lifting.

If the pain is in your muscles, don't lift weights, but apply some hot-treatment cream or oil.

There could be so many reasons for your paint. It is very difficult to suggest what to do when one cannot examine your arm/shoulder.

i don't understand what being an above the knee amputee has to do with shoulder pain. but it sounds like you've been blessed with arthritis as well.

perhaps your straining your arms so there is pain in the shoulder , which needs more exercise.
