A psychic vampire is a person who through depression, personality traits/issues etc has a damaged aura of their own.
When you are in their company they, usually unconsciously, absorb your energy, especially if you, yourself are a bit low or down. You then feel negative, down etc, or even feed into their way of thinking.
Another type is the person who you find psychologically draining -we all have those people in our lives.
Our minds do the draining for us with these ones, as we have pre-excisting 'issues' & already know that the person is going to get us down or get on our nearves as we know their personality etc. Just knowing your going to met with them makes you want to hide.
With all types, a positive mind is always the way forwards.

A person who feeds off the emotions of another. They hang around with drama queens and stir up drama, but stand aside and remain "objective" themselves.
If you've seen the Harry Potter movies or read the books, the dementors are basically psychic vampires.

I think it refers to someone who sucks the life out of you...figuratively.
A psychic vampire subtly manipulates you, feeds off your energy and your presence, draining you so pervasively that you may not notice until it is almost too late and you are a spiritual, emotional and mental wreck. They may appear weak, pathetic, needy and clingy, but underneath they are manipulative, cruel and possessive, although many times they may not realise this. They make you feel guilty or obligated to them. They become angry if you draw it to their attention. They are pyschological abusers and put nothing into a relationship...they only take.
Someone in my life was doing this to me recently. My life turned into a living hell and I became an emotional wreck before I realise how much she'd destroyed me oh so subtly. Even when I called a end to the friendship, she kept trying manipulate me and drawn me down.
Psychic vampires are their own worst enemy because they destroy all around them and eventually their lives implode. A relationship with one is like quick sand...it looks safe...attractive even. But every step you take further into it, you get sucked down and entrapped.
Avoid them at all costs...
EDIT: if you want to consider the spiritual aspects and not justs the psychological ones, it gets a tad spooky.

One who feeds/lives off another's energy. Very damaging and dangerous. Can be deadly for the victim. It's actually the aura/life-force that is being drained.

someone who drinks aura. if they stay around you long enough you will feel warn out and everything will be hazy because of it. they live everywhere and are like normal everyday people. some of them don't even realize its happening. most of them re in an environment that has a lot of energy in the air like at concerts.

these people are indeed very clever and very manipulative, insidious even.
they drain you of energy and even your essence, leaving you exhausted and confused.
takes a lot of healing to get over the aftermath
