I live in Texas also and if your parents are OK with it then it's alright by law, on the other hand if they say no they may press charges and he can go to jail. So I would suggest you and your boyfriend have a talk with your parents.

I'm not sure what the Texas law states, but I think it is the same as North Carolina's 4 year consent rule. Which means, it doesn't matter if he is over 18, as long as he is not 4 years older than you. So, you could be 16 and him 20, and that would still be ok.
The only reason it would not be okay is if the sex was non-consensual, the he would go to jail.

Yes, your boy friend could go to jail if he was turned in. You are a minor and he should have known better. If you go through with having the baby you will have to state that you are 18. They may be strict and ask you to prove it. An abortion will not work because you will have to give them similar information and you would be killing a baby. Have the baby and try hard to get away with using the 18 year old age story. Another way out....get married then if it doesn;t seem to work out get an annulment.

It depends on your state's age of consent. In many states, he would be guilty of statutory rape, or unlawful intercourse with a minor. Do yourself a favor: If you are having sex, use birth control. You will not believe how screwed up your life will be if you have a child at 16. Go see a gynecologist, or call Planned Parenthood.
