From fellow recruiters and my experiences, I would have to tell you is if your re-entry code on your discharge paperwork is other than a RE-4, your chances on getting back into the Army is very good.
Complete your Nursing Degree and then ship off. If you only have one semester left of completing your degree, you can join the Army and not ship out until you complete your degree.

Ask yourself this... Can you live with being yelled at every day, several times a day for 5 weeks straight. This is the first and hardest thing that everyone has to deal with in boot camp. The yelling is done for two reasons: To test the new boot's mental stability and to establish dominance by non-com's (you'll notice real officers never yell unless in battle or when it's Really necessary).
If you can put up with that, then the rest of it is much easier. After the first 5 weeks, the non-com's stop yelling a bit (only in parade formations mostly) and will likely stop singleing people out as the problem people are usually gone by the end of the 5th week.
The rest is learning, marching, teamwork and self-denial. Having been through it, I can sympathize, of course the Canadian military is somewhat more strict, but the basics are almost always the same, for the same reasons...

Nursing is a wonderful opportunity to help others and to feel good at the end of the day. To feel good that you made a difference in someone's life that you have made the world a better place. Whether you accomplish that in a career inside or outside of the military is of little significance.

No, it won't value her her destiny. it could make getting a job a sprint harder for some years nonetheless. as long as there is existence, there is wish - and there are fairly a variety individuals that have executed some distance worse and became their lives around. Actor Tim Allen did reformatory time for drug dealing whilst he became youthful (in the previous he grew to grow to be a comedian). George W. Bush has admitted to having had an alcohol concern, and implied that he has used harder drugs. He additionally has a DUI and a petty theft conviction from his college years. Only you can decide what to do. But I want to ask you this....what has changed from then til now that makes you change your mind about wanting to be in the military? What were you uninformed about that mattered so much you had to lie to get out of your contract you willingly signed but now is no big deal?
This is what about.com has on your 2C discharge.
"RE-2C - Individuals who were fully qualified when last separated. However, reenlistment not authorized at time of separation under reenlistment control policy. Civilian: fully qualified for enlistment."
Anyways, think long and hard about what you really want and what you will really get out of being in the military.

If life is good, stay on your present path. You have gotten your
life together. You are doing what you were put here for. I, was
in the military during Vietnam. If you think you owe something
go work for the Veterans Hospital. I respect your frame of thought. If you are married or about to be, discuss this. I am not against the military. Just do nothing in haste. Good Luck.

If you implied that you were mentally ill what makes you think that you will be able to get back in? They will have documented that you have "mental ailments". Why would they not assume that you will not do the same thing again?
