My Question was about the 'MAKING of fire'. Not luckily stumbling upon some. so for you, let me rephrase the question "When Adam & Eve left the garden of Eden, did they have the skills to make fire?".... is that better?

Your the second one with that view. the bible doesn't say god taught Adam & Eve how to make clothes, it says god clothed them.

It's something I too have wondered.
If bible is 'accurate history' you'd have thunk the 'inventor of Fire and or the Wheel' would have got a mention as they were pretty important inventions in the scheme of things.
Xians of course can't comprehend that somewhere, sometime, during length of humanity's time, Fire and Wheel happened for the first time.
WHY doesn't bible mention the occurrences?
Cos the inventors of Bronze Age myth and superstition took them for granted AND they weren't real bright and nor were the peasants who were sucked in at that time - they're no brighter now.

The Bible says God taught them how to make skins from animals for clothing, so I suppose He could have taught them how to rub two sticks together too.
Is this supposed to "stump" us somehow? I fail to see how.
Now, you want to talk about a real miracle and inspiration from God? Go look up the history of soap making. Now that is fascinating stuff. How do you think they managed to figure out that animal fat and wood ashes would make you clean, eh??

Yes, they did. But not necessarly "skills", more like luck. Humans figured out a long, long time ago how to harness and keep alive the flames from naturally ocurring fires (i.e. lightning strikes). Making fire, developed later, as the human brain had developed over time. We're not so think as you dumb we are!
