We've tried camera's, we've tried calling the police, we've tried talking to his parents. He keeps doing it. We can't catch him in the act so we don't have proof. The video at night is not good enough. What can I do to stop this?

It's been happening for a long time and he strikes randomly. He does it at night or in the morning time. No witnesses. My sister wakes up to go to work and finds that her car is keyed, tires slashed, windows smashed, or lights smashed.

Please help!

I don't want my sister to hurt, worry and feel unsafe. It is also costing her money for repairs.

If it's really a problem then I say invest in a better camera for night recording...maybe motion detector lights so they go off when he comes near the car. If it's costing money to repair something he keeps tearing up then it's worth the money for a good camera and a conviction.

Park the car in a well lit area and hire a security firm for 2 or three nights for a pre-negotiated price (or stand by with several friends). The nect time the car is vandalized, HAVE A WITNESS. Get it? Have an EYE-WITNESS. If you dont have an eye-witness, be sure to get one! The only way to nail this arsche-clown is to get him in the act and have the eye-witness go to court and testify as to what the eye-witness saw.

She needs to go to court and get a protection order against him. Also, she should sue him in civil court and even if she doesn't win, at least she will have inconvenienced him a little. She ultimately will probably have to move where he does'nt know where she lives and can't find out. Sad to say , but the law can only do so much and he sounds nutty enough to be sneaky and know exactly how to get away with things. Good Luck!

I just read your question to my friend who is a Police Officer. He was on duty and couldn't really talk but said the best thing to do would be to go to your local Court House and do an injunction on him. The injunction would stop him from coming within a certain amount of feet of your house and if he violates it he will go to jail. He said that if that doesn't work to call the police and tell them what is going on and see if they can keep a watch on your house. He also suggests that if you have a garage to park her car in the garage don't leave it outside. Stay safe.

i am a strong beleiver in an eye for an eye-if the person has been warned fairly not to cross the line and still chooses to do so at his own volition then i would deal with the situation as i saw fit-in this case everytime he attacked my car i would target his car/property etc at 3am in the morning (if i can't prove it's him he's not going to prove it's me but he would definetly know it's me) until he stopped attacking mine hopefully resulting in either one of two outcomes.

1 the police would see this is getting out of hand and start taking the matter seriously or

2 the perpetrator takes the matter personally and decides to have it out with me face to face.

i am not for one moment suggesting this is what your sister should do-but you did ask what other folks would do-and this is what i would do. alternatively your sister could start seeing a bigger guy than the idiot ruining her car. that ought to see him off.

Take out a court Injunction against him which bans him from a set area around you if the injunction is broken you can be brought to Book see a solicitor it will cost you but it would be cheaper than repairs

You need to invest in a good camera. Also start filing stalking reports if he keeps showing up around where she is. Also try calling the citizens line at your local district attorneys office for advice.

Move the trailer to an open field in the next county, put up a wire fence, and tell her new boyfriend you'll buy him some new teeth if he can catch the old boyfriend.

perhaps hire a private investigator to get the proof you need that he is doing it. setup a sting operation. get some night shot cameras on the car from a couple different angles. get a couple people to take shifts and watch it constantly. then bust him up with a baseball bat and wait for the police to arrive.

does she have a restraining order/order of protection against him?
