That a big war between two brothers and the followers of each was waged with horses, chariots and swords on a hill in Joseph Smiths back yard in around 600 BC. The bad guys stomped the good guys into the ground and God punished the bad guys by turning their skin dark. They are taught that these dark skinned people are the Native Americans of today, both north and South American indiginous peoples.
Is that weird or what???

I have read the Book Of Mormon by the way....as hard as it was to read I got through it at a family members urging. I find the whole book a bad attempt to sound like the Bible and there are so many things in it that just are not true it is amazing so many people believe it.

I was disappointed when I found out they believe black people were evil or from Lucifer or something. I learned about the Native American skin thing from South Park and then I wanted to check it out for myself on the internet, it is true. WOW

I have a friend who is Mormon and I know he isn't racist, he just cannot be. He seems like the kind of person who doesn't follow the religion to much, but still believes in the general concept of it. The healthiest people are those that see their religion as a guideline on how to live their life by. Like Gary on South Park said, It's about loving your family, friends, and being a good person in life.

I'm not a Mormon but I read the book of Mormon and you took all different verses in the book and twisted them around but I shouldn't be surprised that what non believers do to the Bible . Read the book it is definitely another testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ. If you love Jesus you will know if it is of him or not, If you know the Father ,You will know the Son. His word is the same even today. Our testimony's of what Jesus has done for us if in a book being written today would be the same. Our God doesn't change. God bless

It is true the Mormons had polygamy but int he book of Mormon it says only one wife and no concubines. they got polygamy from other writings they have. yet they themselves will declare the book of Mormon is the most perfect word of God they have. And they say that we can't prove the stories in the Bible either. should we believe that to.

Thank God we don't teach people whats in the Bible, Oh wait we do. I guess we do teach about Jesus. I hope we recognize him when he comes back. Or are we going to do like they did last time he was hear. Pray

Thank you for the thumbs down now I know I'm doing his will, God bless.

You don't know what you are talking about. Anyone with even a little knowledge knows what you are saying is a bunch of bull.

After reading you question go back and read the Bible and see if you are following how Jesus taught to treat other people.

Didn't He say in Matthew to love your neighbor. You sure sound like you love your neighbor. You should be ashamed to even call yourself a Christian.

By the way I am not in a good mood today.

Quite interesting. I have been a member my entire life and I have no idea about most of the things you are saying. I'm sure my lifetime of studying and multiple times I've read the book of mormon, not to mention the college religion courses I had do not come close to your level of understanding. *rolls eyes*

You didn't do a very good job of reading the Book of Mormon, cause your book review here is really bad.

wow.. that's crazy!

I was bored the other day and started reading the book of Mormon... they totally should have edited that thing more before it was published. There are some very awkward, passive sentences in there that can easily be edited while preserving the meaning. It's not like it had to be translated from a foreign language... c'mon guys!

You have really misrepresented Mormon belief. I don't know why you feel you have the right to tell us Mormons what we believe. We don't need you to speak for us, friend. We know what we believe a lot better than you do, so let us speak for ourselves.

The Mormon Church is not a racist church. I'm Mormon, and my wife is black. We were married in a Mormon temple, where the officiator told us that God approved of our marriage. My wife is treated well at church, as are the other African American members of our congregation. I've had a black bishop in several different Mormon congregations of which I've been a member.

Many anti-Mormons, however, intentionally misrepresent Mormon teachings in an attempt to discredit Mormonism. I've written about this type of discrimination on my site at http://www.allaboutmormons.com/brief_critique_anti-mormon_propaganda.php . Pay careful attention to the video at http://www.allaboutmormons.com/ENG_Video62.php .

It is worse than weird. By the Mormon Church's own admissions they put out publicity many years back that said Joseph Smith was a teller or tall tales... this to me just means a liar. As a leopard will not change its spots, so it is with this. The entire lot is based on lies.

Best wishes
