For one thing women have been serving honorably on many ships, and also fly fighter planes.
Men and women will have affairs whether in the military or in the civilian community.
I spent 2 years on a ship with women and made a 6 month cruise to Diego Garcia (atoll in the Indian Ocean) and we had not ONE pregnancy. The men (and women) who will cheat on their spouses on board a ship, will also cheat on them at home.
I remember when the USS VULCAN ARG-3 went to the Mediterranean with some women on board, one Navy wife wrote the local paper that if her husband went to sea with women, their "marriage would be destroyed." If that were true, then she didn't have a marriage to begin with. She got blasted by MANY Navy wives, and not just a few husbands.
This was back in the spring of 1979.
Obviously you have NO clue as to what goes on board ship. Women are found down in the engine rooms maintaining the ships power plants, doing electrical work, fixing sensitive electronic components and computers, handling stores, doing personnel paperwork, preparing pay records...etc etc etc.
Even air craft carriers have women in all ratings...including those found on the flight deck during dangerous flight operations, working 12 hours a day (and more), 7 days a week, and you call it a PLEASURE CRUISE? HAHAHAHA
In the early days of combat in Afghanistan, one female jet pilot, off the USS Roosevelt CVN-71, blew the snot out of several Al Qaida installations.
What happened? Wouldn't the Navy let YOU in? Weren't you qualified? Is that why you've got your panties in a bunch?
Get a clue!

Gee, you're UP-TO-DATE !! Congress opened combat-ships to female sailors back in 1993... Fourteen years ago.
I did my last 4 cruises on carriers with mixed crews, and, as a Division Officer, was only aware of 5 cases of sexual-activity during those cruises. IN 99% of my experience, my female shipmates were professional and weren't running around flirting.
ALL such behavior is strictly forbidden by Navy Regulations, and those who engage in it face Captain's Mast at a MINIMUM, and normally a BCD (Bad Conduct Discharge).
IF a Husband is gonna cheat, he'll do it whether or not there are females ABOARD... he'll just wait until the boat pulls into port.

Why ever no longer? women are the two able to doing the job. My husband is a protection rigidity Officer. He has adult males & women under his Command. while they're on Operation or workout they stay in super proximity to eachother. Sharing tents, showers (comparable showers no longer on the comparable time!), mealtimes and artwork. the sole human beings I quite have ever got here across to merchandise to this are chauvenists and ladies who have not got a loving and chuffed dating with their companion & as a result think of he would be untrue...this is their subject. The amenities desire the appropriate human beings for the job.

Obviously, you are very opinionated and without knowledge of the subject. I am not going to try to justify women in the military to someone like you---it's a waste of my time.

Initially, when woman were inducted onboard ships, these kind of incidents were frequently occurring. To avoid such incidents, very strict rules were implemented on board ships by various navies of the world. I think whatever you do, one can not avoid such accidents bc ships remain at sea for longer duration which makes people to have urge for sex. I suggest, there should not be females on board ships.
