I have heard this before, and it usually isn't favored by people because it infers that we are sinners and human nature doesn't like to think that. But when you really think about it, we sinned, and were the reason Jesus had to die. Freaky huh?(no need to hear from atheists)

Note to Julia D.
Still, if we had not sinned there would be no need for jesus to die. So we should not be thanking them, because those people are us.

Yes, it is our sins that helped to nail Him to the Cross. He is the lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world.

Christ was born to die so that humanity could live.
BTW. We did NOT kill Jesus.
He laid down his life for us...
" This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence " 1 John 3: 16 - 19

According to the Bible, Jesus had to die because God sent him to die. Why did God send Jesus to die? Because, for some strange reason, this loving and forgiving God MUST have a blood sacrifice before He is capable of forgiving us enough to forego torturing us for all eternity. Now that's what I call freaky.

If we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior but we failed to follow and to keep his divine instructions, then we are just nailing him on the cross again and again.

Read this and remember it:
John 10
17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father."

Yeah, and I just love the Roman Catholic sentiment that every time we sin, jesus dies again and again. What a bunch of guilt mongers.

If the story is true and Jesus was a deity then he committed suicide by cop...
As a deity he would have had the power to stop it at anytime and didn't thus it's suicide, the by cop part comes in because he didn't simply kill himself he let the Roman soldiers (the police force in the city at the time) do it instead...
Silly christians worshiping someone insane enough to commit suicide by cop...

Well, that is one of the foundations of christianity, and its use to guilt us for the sin.

Your religion teaches that your messiah HAD to die or you would have no redemption. Whoever killed him then, you should be thanking them profusely for doing so.
