how do i erase corrupted data on my ps2 memory card without reformatting my whole memory card?

i saved my data from a game one day and then i went away for 2 days and when i came back my data was corrupted.the game was need for speed pro street.i don't think its the game though because ive 3 previous corrupts on the same memory card but not my other one.they are both 8 mb memory cards.

its not the game...unless the game shuts ur ps2 down while its saving...but u cant delete the data...it happend to me with burnout and i cant save the game now

dont put a game in and turn it on
go to browser and hit x
you will see a whit background and a floating memory card
hit x again and then you can see all your save data
then choose the data you want t delete
