tolerance is one of the most important, and most lacking, of human attributes. It matters not which god we follow, but how well we can walk through life wit others who do not share our beliefs. What a wonderful place the world could be if there were more of it about!

I believe coexisting with your fellow humans is part of appeasing God.

I value tolerance. But I do not value the attribute of simply tolerating. It is a greater thing to understand why to have tolerance then to just tolerate.I do not appease a God I do not believe in or have any evidence of existence that would grant me the need to appease.

Since God created fellow humans, tolerating God's creation is appeasing God.

Hi Bad Tim,

tolerance is way more important. Without it, I would have had have strangled George Bush months ago. And since there is no god, appeasing him, her or it is not an issue for me.

There has to be a balance. I believe it the lack there of, that makes this world so volatile.

No two people are going to believe in every little thing the same way, so we need to have a balance between being faithful to your God and being tolerant of your fellow man.

Appeasing God often means tolerance...and it often means intolerance. It all depends on the situation. But if you are referring to the worship of other gods, or false religions, I definitely seek to please God first, then man second. (See the account of the tower of Babel, where man came together placing unity and human achievement as a greater goal than obedience to God who commanded them to scatter across the earth)

Tolerance is the most important thing in this world when it comes to religions. Religious intolerance is the cause of deaths, wars, and poverty most of the time. I do not believe God wants us killing people in order to get people to convert to a certain religion. Tolerance is most important.

Not just to coexist, but to uplift and encourage: this not only appeases God, but pleases Him.
