Other than to punish Satan, what purpose would hell have? Why send the souls of people there? Is there another purpose?

THE BIBLE HELL AND THE NEW HEAVENS AND THE NEW EARTH

The nearest I can figure it out, hell [ and hells ], was created by the people and some deserve to go to places they created. Tophet, Gehenna or Valley of the son of Hinnom hell fire, death and burial by fire or burial by fire [ some in human sacrifice in the fire 2Chr.28:1-4];
Jer.7:30.31; 19:2-5; king Josiah turned it into Mark 9:42-48; the city dump, so it counts nothing for apostles of Jesus Matt.10:28;

Tartarus prison hell. For the angels that sin, Jude 6 [ before flood ], 1Pet.3:18-20 [ Jesus went to visit the angels that sinned before the flood ]; 2Pet.2:4;
the angels that sinned before the flood, kept from doing it again.

The gates of hell or the gates of the grave Matt.16:18; Isa.38:10;
As for Sepulchre, cave, pit, tomb, grave hell, cemetery or burial grounds where most are resurrected from, some from seas or death itself.
Acts 2:27-35; Resurrection of Jesus from hell John 19:38-42; his cave grave.
Souls created, souls born & souls resurrected Rev.6:9-11; Eze.37:12-14; the
spirit of God is the life of the soul Eccl.3:19-21; 12:7; Psm.104:29,30;
David was still dead in his sepulchre, cave, pit, tomb, grave hell burial place.
John 3:13-17; No heavenly raised up Rom.16:20; to time of the end when
Satan cast down to earth out of heaven to have a short time Rev.12:3,4,6-11,12;
Rev.20:1-6,12,13;
No Satan 1000 years. 1Cor.15:22-28; Resurrection in order, heavenly first.
Rev.3:12;
The heavenly [ for the new heavens ], are with Jesus, to resurrect the dead as earthly [ for the new earth Isa.65:17 ]; 2Pet.3:13;

After the 1000 years. Rev.7-10; No Satan as he is cast into the lake of fire,
fire rains down from heaven to devour men that are like unto Satan. Rev,21:8 [ some deserve the second death, why is beyond imagination ];

Rich man and Lazarus:
Belief of the Pharisee leaders, who did not know Moses and the prophets, but as Babylon a good reward for the best and a bad for the worst, but a sick man is of the blessed of Abraham through Christ. Only Jesus followers world know the truth here Luke 16:16,17,29,31; If you find it in the law and the prophets, you find the truth. Gen.3:9; Death is opposite of life, there is no living dead.

God created Hell for whoever 'wanted' to be there:
Imagine if you went out and got all covered in dark, thick, slimy mud, then you had to go into a completely white, spotless house, with white fur carpets and all. Everyone there is wearing spotless white as well, and it's very bright and clean. You would be miserable there, because you're all dirty and so obviously out of place. You would much rather be in the house where everyone has mud all over them, where the entire house is messy so you don't have to worry about getting everything muddy when you walk/sit/etc. That's why God created Hell, is so whoever sins a lot down here on Earth can go somewhere that they're surrounded by like people and stuff. The bad part of hell is just knowing what could have been, and wishing that you had been better, but unable to correct the mistakes and having to live with them for eternity.

It's like this, and I challenge any Christian who says otherwise.

God does not want some people. He was very clear about this. He is the one who gives people the desire to want to know Him. The Bible clearly states that it is against our nature to want to know God. He is the one making it possible for people to turn His way. There are many people, I would say most people, who never get that desire. They would rather follow after their own way, or a way of someone else. These people in particular want a god of their own understanding, one that they can approve of.

So God isn't like that. We conform to Him, and He sets the way in which we must follow. So those who have no desire to know God are not chosen by Him. And so Hell, though it was made for the devil and the devil's angels, is also going to have those who God didn't want in it.

That's why God created Hell. The purpose of it other than to hold Satan and his angels is to hold those who won't be around for eternity with God.

Why would a all knowing God who can see all futures create a hell that he house creatures he created that he knows he will send them there???

Conclusion is hell is men made up invention.

Also a merciful forgiving God cannot create a hell for eternal torture because mercy and fogiveness cannot have anything on the opposite extreme of eternal torture or jailtime.

The two words mercy or forgiveness and eternal torture are contradictory. You either have one or just one or the other. You cannot have both.

Believers claim God is Good only, so he obviously cannot be bad. You thus cannot have both. You see how silly religion is when men created hell for a God?

Can any human beings see religions are men made up inventions as if they are for real? Not hard to see but why not accept reality religions are men made up creations? Is that really that hard to accept?

God is not willing that any should perish. Tuberroot is wrong. That is why Jesus is standing at the door knocking.

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

John 3 (New King James Version)
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

THe word 'hell' is originally Olde English, & meant an underground cellar or strorage area for potatoes. It was used in a Bible to replace the word for the common grave of mankind, because death is the complete cessation of life. Then, 'a religious group' decided to teach eternal torture, & the word hell became linked with that teaching. Actually, eternal torture after death is a pagan myth that was adopted by so-called 'Christians' to scare people into submission. The Creator is against torture, even of Satan...

"Death and Ha′des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire." --Revelation 20:14

Adamic death & the common grave of mankind will be ended in the lake of fire --AKA second death-- along with Satan & his followers... How can death & the grave be tortured?

Also, notice what God says at Jeremiah32:51...

"Furthermore, they [apostate Israel] built the high places of Ba′al that are in the valley of the son of Hin′nom, in order to make their sons & their daughters pass through [the fire, live] to Mo′lech, a thing that I did not command them, neither did it come up into my heart to do this DETESTABLE thing..."

God created hell for Satan and the fallen angels(demons), he did this because they sinned against God and because God is just and perfect in his judgment he has to punish all sin with the same punishment, he didn't will anyone to hell, but when we chose to sin against him, well you know the rest. He has made a way for us thou, read about it in his word.

God does send people to Hell In my opinion I think there is not a hell because god would never want his children to suffer even if they did not believe in them
